Describing significant accomplishments (week 1) June 30
In this session, participants will get the opportunity to discuss their achievements from the professional, personal, and educational areas of their lives. The participants will then be asked to identify the skills demonstrated by the accomplishments they shared.
Meeting in Spanish. 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Meeting in English. 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Identifying Key Transferable and Self-management Skills (week 2) July 7
In this session, participants will be presented with a list of essential skills required by employers. They will be asked to identify the skills they already possess.
Preparing for the Interview (week 3) July 14
In this session, participants will learn how to prepare for an interview by selecting their strongest skills and give examples that illustrate their use of those skills. Participants will also discuss appropriate attire for interviewing and common interview questions.
Describing your qualifications (week 4) July 21
In this session, participants will engage in a mock interview.
