About the event
In Collaboration with the Hammonton Health Coalition, Downtown Hammonton is hosting this Thursday, September 17th, from 5 to 8 p.m. “Fiesta Hammonton,” a Festival to celebrate the Latino culture. This festival will mark the beginning of the Hispanic Heritage Month, a time when we recognize the contributions Hispanic Americans have made to American society and culture, and honor Latin American countries who celebrate their independence.
Hammonton Fiesta is a fantastic event for people who would like to learn more about Latino traditions, culture, arts, music, and food. Exhibitions include traditional wardrobes from Hispanic Countries, Latin American flags, authentic piñatas display, and Frida Kahlo crafts for kids. Latino performers donated their time to entertain people during this gathering. Spanish Singer Melanie Velez, and Mariachi singer Rosita, among others, will delight the audience with their songs. Honduran Poet Andrea Flores and Peruvian Poet Jim Paul Bacon will recite poems in Spanish.
