We are looking for emotionally intelligent interns who would like to be a part of a multicultural team of licensed professionals and advocates for underserved populations. As an Allies in Caring intern, you will help people foster their well-being and coping mechanisms. With support from a senior mentor you will gain experience in:

Planning, coordinating, managing and implement healthy habits to help clients deal with difficulties and overcome adversity

Interviewing community members and assess their current condition, needs, strengths and weaknesses

Referring clients to community services

Advocating for Youth & Adults

Individual & Group Services

Behavioral & Therapeutic Interventions

Resilience along with ability to assess situations

Requirements:
-
Must be fluent in Spanish or have a history of being immerse in the Latino/ Hispanic community for at least 2 years
-
2 years experience working with children and/or families a plus
-
Working knowledge of social theories and practices

Must have a Driver's License and be able to attend in-person meetings in Hammonton, NJ

Ability to build and maintain professional relationships

Ability to relate and communicate with diverse population and groups

Good problem-solving skills and ability to think on the spot

Willing to submit to a background check/fingerprinting
